Amy's cool yeah. She's way cooler than me. We started hanging out back in 2008. When times were fun and life was really great but, now she's saying please get me the hell out of this place. She said she's leaving and I'm still dreaming of the day when we move out to California.
Now she's hopping on the train. I'm standing in the pouring rain. I started running. I had it coming.
I tripped and fell and then I broke my teeth. My tongue was bleeding and I could barely speak. I tried my best to get back on my feet. I came to tell you I love you and I don't want you to go. Amy told me that I'm better off on my own.
Now she's leaving and I'm pretending that I can't feel the pain. I know we'll never be the same. Yeah I'm the one to blame.

My thoughts are constellations in my brain where no is made. I've seen things I can't simply explain.
I'll close my eyes and I'll float away and I'll remain in a dream state for the rest of my days.
I'm familiar with your ways and how these humans live but, I'm not the same.
I'll say, it's been lovely here on Earth with you and how you walk with soul but, I can't wait until the day they beam down and take me home.

She likes all of my favorite bands and she loves it when I hold her hand. She always tells me she thinks I'm smart but, I know she's just trying to get to my heart and I can feel myself caving in.
She talks to me when I'm alone and she always calls me on the phone. She looks at me with blue-green eyes and says she needs me in her life. I know that we were meant to me but, all my friends say that I am going crazy.
She's so rad. She's a ten. She's my very best friend and I don't know what she sees in me. I know I'm a dork in my corduroy shorts but, I know she wants inside them she's my imaginary girlfriend.
I can always find the right words to say. Though, that wouldn't matter anyway. She hasn't tried to introduce me to any of her friends cause she knows that I don't want to meet them. She's the perfect girl for me.
Life is better when you pretend.
All my life I've been waiting for... waiting for you.
I know I'm a wreck and my life is a mess but, she thinks that I am better than the rest.

I learned how to swim when I learned how to drown. Gasping for air yeah nothing ever changes. I'll make my amends when I turn things around for myself. Yeah, I know that I need to make some changes.
So stop telling my that I've got to learn from these days on my own. My pockets were empty but, I made it home.
As close as we are you know we'll laugh and we'll cry. We've got a ways to go before we say our goodbyes. We can only sleep on summer nights. we only sleep on summer nights. We've got time to kill counting lines cause I won't sleep in miles.
I learned how to run when I learned how to fall. Bruised up and broken nothing ever changes. I'll make my amends when I'm golden once and for all. Everyone knows currency makes changes.
There's people packing in rooms just to sing back the words that we wrote on our own. I've got to tell you I've never been happier than this.
I can see you breathe this winter night. I need to feel your skin next to mine so I can sleep tonight.
